Claim Your Apple Podcasts Listing

You can transfer your Apple Podcasts listing to your Apple account using Apple's Claim Token. This allows you to access your Apple Podcasts data, ratings, and reviews directly from your Apple Podcast Connect account. 

After you submit to Apple Podcasts through the Directories page in your Buzzsprout, the next step will be to claim your podcast! We'll walk you through that process. 

Claim and Transfer Your Apple Podcasts Listing

  1. Start by creating an Apple Podcasts Connect account (if you haven't already).
  2. Within your Apple Podcasts Connect account, click Claim an Existing Listing at the bottom of the page. 
  3. Then, enter your Apple Podcasts listing URL. We'll provide this on the page in Buzzsprout, or use Apple's search tool to find your Apple Podcast listing. 
  4. Click on your podcast and click Next. Apple will give you a Claim Token to add to your RSS Feed.
  5. Head to the Directories page in your Buzzsprout Account and select the Apple Podcasts section. Continue to "Claim your podcast." CleanShot 2026-04-21 at 10.00.30@2x.png
  6. In the grey box under "Step 6," paste the Claim Token from Apple, click Add Claim Token, and you're all set! CleanShot 2026-04-21 at 09.52.14@2x.png
We will drop the Claim Token into your RSS Feed for 48 hours, giving Apple time to see the info on their end and transfer the listing to your Apple Podcasts Connect account. After 48 hours, we will remove the claim token to avoid any confusion later on.
 
Timing Expectation: It can take up to 24 hours for Apple to see that token in your account and transfer your podcast to your Podcast Connect account. And don't worry, your Apple Podcasts listing URL, Ratings & Reviews, and followers will not be affected during this process.
